Our Psychologist

Gladys Johannessen

BPsyc (Hons.), M Clin Psyc, MAPS, MACPA

Hi I’m Gladys, an AHPRA-registered Clinical Psychologist with more than 15 years of experience, dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with evidence-based therapy and compassionate support.

Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship difficulties, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and goals. With a focus on personalised, evidence-backed treatments, I work collaboratively with you to foster resilience, healing, and meaningful change.

Based in Narre Warren, I offer both in-person and telehealth appointments to make therapy accessible and convenient. If you’re ready to take the next step toward well-being, I’d love to support you on your journey.

My Approach

I draw from evidence-based therapies—including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)—to help you build practical skills for real-life challenges. My goal is to make therapy relatable, actionable, and tailored to you, not just a textbook strategy.

While I adapt each session to your unique needs, I always ground our work in well-research techniques that foster lasting change. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, or emotional struggles, we’ll focus on tools that fit your life, your strengths, and your pace.

Therapy isn’t “one-size-fits-all,” but science and compassion can go hand in hand.
